  • 1931 – Feb 13, his father passed away
  • 1936 – SSLC graduation
  • 1937 – Joined as a Clerk at Labour Union Office, Kollam (Quilon)
  • 1938 – At the age of 18, he got arrested for the transport bus-burning case, during a massive protest organized by the Travancore State Congress at Kollam Cantonment Maidan, as part of civil disobedience meeting. He served one and a half years in jail. 
  • 1940 – Youngest Member (at the age of 20) of the Travancore State Congress Committee
  • 1942 – Got arrested during Quit India Movement. Served 6 months in jail. 
  • 1944 – Prasanga Case – Accused of treason. Served 7 months both at Aaranmula sub-jail and Central Jail.
  • 1946 – Involved in Punnapra – Vayalar Uprising. He got arrested for the conspiracy case and served 17 months in Alappuzha (Alleppey) sub-jail. 
  • 1948 – Candidate from Kollam, for the Travancore Niyamasabha (Kerala Legislative Assembly (KLA) Elections, lost to Sri. R. Shankar
  • 1949 – Got arrested concerning the A.D. Cottonmill Strike. Served 9 months in Kollam jail.
  • 1951 – April 19, got married
  • 1952 – Candidate from Kollam constituency, won against M.M. Rahim, and got elected to the Travancore – Cochin Legislative Assembly (TCLA) 
  • 1952 – Deputy Leader of the opposition parties
  • 1954 – Won against Shri. R.Sankar. Got elected to the Travancore – Cochin Legislative Assembly (TCLA) 
  • 1954 – Chairman of the Estimates Committee, Vice Chairman of Coir Board
  • 1954 – 8 day hunger strike at the head office of Harrisons & Cross Field Company 
  • 1957 – Candidate from Kollam constituency, for KLA lost to Shri M.M Rahim
  • 1958 – 11 day hunger strike at the Kerala Government Secretariat
  • 1960 – Candidate from Kollam constituency for  KLA, lost to Shri. Henry Astin 
  • 1962-67 – Kollam Municipal Chairman
  • 1966 – Devasom Board strike and hunger strike
  • 1967– Candidate from Kollam constituency, for KLA – won against Shri. Henry Astin, and got elected. 
  • 1967 – Minister of Works in the Second E. M. S. Namboodiripad ministry. He also handled several portfolios – Public Works, Tourism, Printing/Export Department 
  • 1968 – Soviet Russia Tour
  • 1969 – Resigned in October along with C.P.I – Muslim League ministers
  • 1969 – Worked as an independent member for KLA
  • 1970 – Candidate from Kollam constituency for KLA election, won against Dr.P.K. Sukumaran. October 4, he gave the oath in the Ministry headed by Shri.C.Achutha Menon. He handled portfolios of Public Works and Irrigation. 
  • 1975 – November 26, suffered from heart disease, at Cuttack
  • 1976 – January 19, died in Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram
  • 1976 – January 20, Funeral ceremony at Nehru park, Cantonment Maidan, Kollam
